Corn Bread

1-¼ cup flour
¾ cup cornmeal
¼ cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 egg, beaten

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. Add wet ingredients. Stir to combine. Pour into an 8 x 8 baking pan. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes. Cool in pan for a few minutes, then turn out onto rack.
